Blackline GPS Corp. Announces Commercial Availability of PROGRESS Turnkey Shipment Tracking Service

Blackline GPS Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BLN) is pleased to announce that it has officially released PROGRESS, a turnkey shipment tracking service for the multi-billion dollar delivery services marketplace. Initially developed and deployed for FedEx Auto Transport, and following its successful implementation, PROGRESS is now generally available to the market.

PROGRESS empowers delivery service companies of any market or size to provide their customers with location and security awareness for each package being shipped, in addition to the other intrinsic benefits of the solution. Blackline's move to commercialize PROGRESS follows its performance which demonstrated a nearly 100% consumer adoption rate under a pay for service model.

"This year's first PROGRESS launch began with one of the most established experts in the shipping business - FedEx. With PROGRESS, we were able to validate a reduction in call center volumes while simultaneously increasing customer satisfaction. End users who elect to use the PROGRESS service gain real time access to their shipment's location and feedback has shown virtually all customers would recommend the service to a friend or family member", said Blackline GPS President and CEO, Clark Swanson.

Traditional means of monitoring goods during transit has been accomplished via barcode scanning or RFID at relatively few check-points. Mr. Swanson further added, "The PROGRESS solution has provided a wonderful economic model which success is largely fuelled from the instant gratification received by the customer's real-time insight into their shipment's location."

Blackline's initial response from employing the PROGRESS solution has been better than expected. Preliminary results demonstrated a call center customer support cost reduction that exceeded 70%. The company intends to market PROGRESS to address a broad range of companies ranging from small delivery and service oriented companies to large freight transporters.
