Former FTD Exec Mike Carson Appointed by Myxer
Miami, FL - September 23, 2010- Myxer (Myxer Inc.), a mobile technology company that operates the seventh largest U.S. mobile web site, announces the appointment of Mike Carson as Chief Marketing Officer. Mike most recently served as Vice President in Marketing with FTD.COM Flowers and Gifts and brings with him deep experience across brand development, customer acquisition and retention strategies.
Prior to joining FTD, Mike developed customer acquisition and national direct response programs for the Allstate Insurance Company through his tenure at Ogilvy & Mather. In 2000, he was a key member of the pre-launch Orbitz.com team positioning their brand and launching national advertising and direct marketing programs. Earlier career highlights include time at Chicago-based Leo Burnett where he worked on brand development and interactive programs for brands including General Motors.

Mr. Carson received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - Marketing from Marquette University and his M.B.A from the University of Notre Dame. He serves as an advisor on the Discover Financial Services LLC merchant advisory council.
