IOCOM Launches First Ever Mobile Multi-Party Video Conferencing Application for Android™ Devices
IOCOM, a leading software provider for video conferencing capabilities, announced a version of the company’s cloud based video conferencing software, Visimeet, that runs on Android™ devices. This highly collaborative multi-party mobile application is the first ever which allows mobile users to connect with room and desktop systems. IOCOM along with Wireless Innovations, a leading Sprint Business Solution Partner demonstrated the Visimeet mobile application on the HTC EVO ™ and the Samsung Galaxy Tab™ to several corporations who are looking to expand their video conferencing capabilities to their mobile workforce.
The IOCOM Visimeet Android™ application allows mobile subscribers to run the Visimeet software app over wireless networks with the ability to conduct multi-party sessions in a collaborative environment. Visimeet mobile application users will be able to send and receive video and utilize collaboration tools such as chat, desktop sharing and file sharing. The mobile application will also allow users to have presence with their contact list similar to the Visimeet version which runs on any PC or Mac and connect to other Visimeet users--Android™ app. users and computer based users. With Visimeet, a session can now include room systems, desktop/laptops, mobile app users as well as phone users joining through the Visimeet conference call dialer. With Visimeet, legacy video conferencing devices can also be connected.
