NextAlarm(R) Releases NextView Wireless Outdoor Camera
Alarm products and service provider and technology developer NextAlarm(R) Monitoring Services, Inc. announces the release and immediate availability of the NextView Outdoor Camera as part of its NextView line of wireless IP security cameras. The new camera is built to function outside in inclement weather and low-light conditions, and is compatible with the full array of NextView features and services. The camera is available now through NextAlarm resellers.
The NextView service and security camera line is unique in that it can be tied to any alarm system using the VoIPAlarm signal processing platform. When used together with such an alarm system, consumers can not only see a live feed from the cameras at any time, but can also review archived footage of alarm events. Using NextAlarm's proprietary buffering technology, archived footage starts 10 seconds before each alarm event occurs, and extends five minutes after the event. In this way, users can see what caused the event as it happens, rather than merely viewing the aftermath. Without an alarm system, a live view from all cameras is available, as well as five minutes of footage archived when a camera detects motion. No DVR or other on-site hardware is needed beyond the cameras themselves, as all video is stored using a cloud-based solution. The cameras and their archives can be accessed from any Internet-connected computer, as well as from the free NextView iOS and Android(TM) apps.
The NextView Outdoor Camera, the latest addition to the NextView product line, is a fixed lens wireless IP camera enclosed in a heavy-duty metal shell. The camera is waterproofed and can withstand heat and wind. The camera also features a low-light lens, which automatically switches to an infrared mode at night or in other dark conditions.
