CrowdStar's Top-Grossing Mobile Social Game, Top Girl, Makes its Android Debut Exclusively on Amazon
CrowdStar, the leading multi-platform social gaming company, is today announcing the launch of its highly successful mobile social game, Top Girl, on Android. Top Girl will be sold exclusively through the Amazon App Store for two weeks after launching.
The Android launch of Top Girl continues the momentum of CrowdStar’s recently announced ‘Project Trident’ strategy of creating social game franchises on Mobile, Global and Facebook platforms. By partnering with Amazon in distributing the game, Top Girl is poised to be one the first social games to take off on Amazon’s newly-launched Kindle Fire.
“CrowdStar is entirely focused on Project Trident this year and Top Girl’s Android launch is representative of that,” said Blair Hamilton, head of studios at CrowdStar. “Now our ‘Girl’ social gaming franchise is thriving on Facebook, iOS, and Android.”
Top Girl, the first mobile-centric title launched by CrowdStar, was released on iOS in May, After just 10 days in the App Store, the mobile social game surpassed one million downloads. Three days after launching, Top Girl also became the top-grossing game in the App Store toppling Angry Birds and Zynga Poker.
The game dynamic is a mobile role-playing game that leverages a virtual shopping mechanic, transforming users into mobile models. Through their fashionable avatar, gamers will climb the fashion social ladder, collecting money by doing modeling jobs, buying new outfits, and going to popular clubs. The game also has a dating feature, allowing users to flirt and snag a boyfriend who will give them gifts.
