RouteBuddy Releases Version 3.2 - Route and Track Editing Release


RouteBuddy have added new Route and Track editing features into Version 3.2 and, with over sixty new tools and components, this update is aimed squarely at outdoor enthusiasts, customers who want powerful and useful map software, and to get the best from their GPS devices, TopoMaps and GeoData they use on their Mac or Windows PC.

Within just five months since the release of RouteBuddy 3, and five feature-packed upgrades delivered to RouteBuddy users in that time, the company will now be developing its IP to deliver even greater functionality for dedicated GPS device and map users from around the world.

Ultra-hikers, respected Outdoor Journalists and Bushcraft Survival Instructors use RouteBuddy as their preferred digital map software. With their lead and constructive-criticism coupled with our innovative engineering, advances in desktop mapping, and management of geodata, more features will be coming from RouteBuddy in 2012.

On Windows or Mac OS X, RouteBuddy 3.2 is the only software that delivers an easy-to-use, modern and compatible cross-platform map-user-experience.

Data Reporting - Three new features

  • Altitude Display
  • Middle points now appear as RP with unique number reference

Application

  • Software update menu re-sited

GPS support - Twenty-nine devices added
Support has been extended for a greater range of auto-recognised GPS Devices from Garmin and TomTom:

  • Twenty-two extra GPS devices from Garmin
  • Seven extra GPS devices from TomTom

These devices will now auto-connect via USB and be recognised by RouteBuddy with a confirmation image, device details, and offer a range of options for two-way exchange of GeoData.

Improved GPS support for the following existing devices:

  • Garmin eTrex Legend
  • Garmin eTrex Vista HCx
  • Detection of device timeouts
