10 May 2011 - There is just one week left to register for this year’s LTE World Summit - the world’s meeting place for the LTE community – which is set to bring more than 1750 experts from across the globe together to discuss the challenges operators have faced.
LTE World Summit 2011, taking place 17-18 May in Amsterdam, will feature more than 100 operator case studies and includes keynote presentations from T-Mobile Netherlands and Vodafone.
Bart Weijermars, Managing Director of the event’s host operator – T-Mobile Netherlands, kicks off the keynote sessions on Day One of the show with his presentation Surfing the wave of the gigabit society, whilst the Day Two morning keynote presentations is opened by Hartmut Kremling, CTO of Vodafone D2, with his insight into the Initial LTE experience following customer launch.
Giles Cummings, Events Director at Informa Telecoms & Media, commented: “With LTE deployments taking place around the world, we need to address the challenges operators have faced as well as the significant amount of work yet to be done.
“This year’s operator attendance figures have been incredible – with over 150 operator companies currently registered – and to have respected industry experts such as Bart Weijermars and Hartmut Kremling as keynotes helps to cement the show as the world’s meeting place for LTE.”
This year’s LTE World Summit also sees the introduction of LTE Masterclasses, designed to provide a free training platform that will enable delegates to gain a valuable insight into the future path of LTE, which will be located at the Seminar Theatre on the LTE World Summit exhibition floor.
Featuring more than 30 presentations, debates, operator case studies, analyst viewpoints and technical talks, the LTE Masterclasses include training sessions such as School of LTE: LTE Demystified from Informa Telecoms & Media’s Telecoms Academy, and international LTE live case studies from operators including PTCL, Qatar Telecom and Elisa Corp.
Giles added: “The free-to-attend LTE Masterclasses will offer a valuable opportunity for attendees to discuss the latest developments relating to the future of LTE amongst the buzz of the exhibition floor.”
LTE World Summit 2011 has 85 per cent of the top 100 global operators represented, from across more than 130 countries, and will provide delegates with a unique opportunity to learn from a panel of over 190 expert speakers – across 10 tracks and more than 140 sessions – who will be sharing insights and engaging in high-level debate.
