Boingo Wireless Increases Hotspot Count in South Africa via Skyrove
Boingo Wireless, Inc. (NASDAQ: WIFI), the Wi-Fi industry’s leading provider of software and services worldwide, today announced an agreement with Skyrove that will give Boingo customers access to an additional 600 hotspots throughout South Africa, bringing the total number of Boingo hotspots in the country to more than 2,000.
The agreement with Skyrove, the largest independent Wi-Fi hotspot operator in South Africa, provides Boingo customers with expanded coverage across the country. The Skyrove network includes Wi-Fi Internet access at popular hotels, restaurants and coffee shops in the region.
“The addition of Skyrove to our growing Wi-Fi network will allow customers to quickly and easily connect to all major commercial hotspots throughout South Africa,” said Bjorn Thorngren, director of business development in EMEA for Boingo Wireless. “With the desire to stay connected when traveling internationally on the rise, reliable wireless access is important for heavy data users looking to escape excessive roaming charges.”
