RouteBuddy Releases Version 3.1 - Track and Height Data
RouteBuddy's presence in the outdoor GPS map market grows as useful components are added to its industry-leading digital map software. Fast Geodata performance and new Elevation Graphs are now prominent in the latest release, along with several extra features as listed below.
RouteBuddy and GeoData
Performance:
Already faster than competitors products, RouteBuddy has increased the speed of importing large geo-data files and accelerated the import by a factor of 10x over the previous version.
Database and Library feedback:
Import of all geodata files now emits progress sheets during updates in the Database and Library. This is especially handy when users import extremely long or multi-set geodata files.
Sorting columns:
In the Status Bar (below map) all number columns are now sorted numerically, this is foundation work for further geodata-editing flexibility coming from RouteBuddy.
Map rendering
Already with the fastest "map renderer from cache" for digital map software, this speed has now been increased further still for all maps available from RouteBuddy: Topo, Road and Satellite.
Ruler Tool
New Toolbar Ruler now includes multi-part sections, each with distance, and total distance showing at ruler head. Ruler is now a luminous-green and easy to view over any map.
Memory upgrade
RAM memory support has been increased on Windows and now offers faster performance throughout.
Height data
Height Data is now available for the UK (in build for RoW)
Route creation with height-data now includes: Direct Travel (Topo Maps) and Vehicle (Road Maps) with supported Elevation graph.
Elevation graph shows spot height at cursor and is dynamically repeated on the map.
Several new elements have been added to record the following:

Name (Start Point, End Point, Notes, URL link)

Distance (Total Distance, Flat Distance, Ascent Distance, Descent Distance)

Altitude (Maximum and Minimum) and totals of Ascent and Descent, as well as Duration.
Bug Fix
Fixed - crash if two routes finish calculating at same time.

RouteBuddy 3.1.1 is a free update to our fully-registered software customers.
