Pocketweb Announces German-based Subsidiary
New Zealand-based Pocketweb, a global, award-winning innovator that integrates secure location-based and social media services across web and mobile platforms, has announced the opening of its Berlin, Germany office, which is positioned as the “home-base” for the company’s German subsidiary. With a steady increase in its European customer base over the past year, the company is preparing to expand operations to include a stable of engineers who have experience in the location-based services and mobile arenas.
Berlin has recently become a hotbed of scalable web companies, with an average of two to three being created each week. The city has surpassed Munich to become the country’s most attractive location for technology startups and rivals London as a natural center for the European tech scene.
