Polaris Networks to Demonstrate its Carrier-Grade LTE EPC Solution at the CTIA
Polaris Networks, a leading provider of networking protocol software and test solutions for Wireless 4G technologies announced that after a successful showing at the Mobile World Congress, they will be demonstrating their carrier grade LTE solutions as well as Test Tools at Booth # 4708 at the CTIA Wireless 2012, to be held in New Orleans (May 08 - May 10).
The NetEPC© is a new easy-to-use and cost-effective product from the company's carrier-grade line of solutions. The company launched this at the Mobile World Congress earlier this year in Barcelona. The CTIA Wireless show will give Polaris the opportunity to demonstrate this and introduce it to the American market. The product combines the functionality of the Evolved Packet Core (EPC) including the Mobile Management Entity (MME), the Serving Gateway (S-GW), the Packet Data Network Gateway(PDN-GW), the Home Subscriber Server (HSS) and the Policy Charging and Rules Function (PCRF) as per 3GPP standards and is ideal for Tier II-III deployments by Operators & Public Safety Departments.
Apart from the NetEPC, Polaris will also demonstrate the LTE Femtocell Gateway, another carrier grade solution at the show. Polaris provides standardized S1-MME interfacing of Home eNodeBs and core network via the Femto Gateway. The Femto Gateway is therefore seen by the Core Network as one virtual Radio Access Network, hiding a large number of served Home eNodeBs (the FAPs).The Polaris FGW solution is capable of performing aggregation, traffic offload and security functions.
Booth# 4207 at the CTIA will also be the destination for attendees who are looking for load testing and functional testing solutions for LTE network. Polaris would also demonstrate applications like video and web browsing over a simulated LTE network.
About Polaris Networks
Polaris Networks is a leading provider of networking protocol software and test solutions for Wireless 4G technologies. The company has developed system software solution for a micro EPC and Femtocell gateway which will enable NEMs to reduce their time-to-market and also provide better scope for product differentiation.
The Functional Testers and Emulator tools are used by NEMs and SPs for testing eNodeB, MME, S-GW, PDN-GW and other LTE nodes for protocol/feature conformance, scalability, load/stress. The emulators can simulate end-to-end LTE network and are usedby companies developing security and other applications for 4G mobile networks. Headquartered in Boston, the company's R&D facility is located in India.
