WhosHere Mobile App Success Leads to Parent Company Name Change
February 20, 2012 - The parent company of WhosHere®, the popular location-based mobile social networking app, has officially changed its name from myRete, Inc. to WhosHere, Inc.
The company's name change reflects the sustained success of its flagship product, which has attracted nearly 5 million users since its release in 2008.

WhosHere’s was developed and brought to market by Founder Bryant Harris and Co-Founder Stephen Smith in just a few short months. In 2008, it became one of Apple's very first third-party iPhone apps.
WhosHere works by leveraging location information on iOS devices, then connecting users with similar interests, and in similar geographic areas via free texts, free picture messages, and free VoIP calls -- without ever disclosing any personal information.
WhosHere Version 2.15 is currently available for iOS. Pre-registrations for Android and native iPad versions of the app are currently available. Downloadable versions will be available in early 2012.
