WirelessDevNet.com Press Release

American Roamer Offers Mobile Broadband Area Analysis for Mobile Operators

American Roamer, the global source for geospatial network intelligence, today announces the Mobile Broadband Area Analysis, a new analytics package that identifies areas served and unserved by mobile broadband service. The package enables operators to support applications for the FCC’s Universal Service Reform’s Mobility Fund; a monetary support system that is given to chosen mobile operator applicants.

American Roamer’s Mobile Broadband Area Analysis, now available for purchase, details mobile broadband coverage data for local and national markets at the census block levels.

Mobile operators can purchase the basic data, which states whether or not specific census blocks are covered by mobile broadband networks in a .CSV file or they can purchase the more detailed geospatial coverage files depicting served and unserved mobile broadband coverage. Both the .CSV and GIS files are available on the local or national levels.

Companies that access American’s Roamer’s new data receive the most updated information available on the market. American Roamer updates its mobile network coverage data quarterly and is credited for its accurate, timely and accessible geospatial intelligence.

In a November 2011 Connect American Fund Report, the FCC stated that “American Roamer data is recognized as the industry standard for the presence of service” and for the specific purpose of this report, the company provides “the best available choice at this time for determining wireless service at the census-block level” (FCC Report 11-161, page 121, sections 333 and 334).

“American Roamer has more than 20 years of experience serving as the independent, unbiased source for geospatial network intelligence for the wireless and mobile market place,” says Bryan Darr, president and CEO, American Roamer. “For many years, federal and state regulatory agencies, wireless industry groups and mobile operators have trusted us to provide the most accurate data and robust geospatial solutions needed to effectively baseline and evaluate programs like Universal Service and the Mobility Fund.”
