PureWave Unveils a Family of Advanced Small Cell LTE Base

New Orleans, LA - May 7, 2012  - International CTIA Wireless(R) 2012 - PureWave Networks, a rapidly growing 4G small cell pioneer, today unveiled PureWave Constellation, a revolutionary family of small cell LTE base stations designed to deliver astonishing wireless capacity over a range of several dense city blocks. In addition to ground-breaking network capacity, PureWave Constellation base stations offer operators a wide array of network deployment options, including multi-carrier and multi-frequency capability, advanced SON and integrated WiFi options.

PureWave Constellation LTE small cells continue to build on PureWave's expertise of delivering exceptional power and performance in a compact package. The base stations support up to 256 active users, up to 5W of power per antenna and boast a scalable and flexible architecture.

PureWave Constellation LTE base stations are designed to blend seamlessly into their environment. Offered in small and elegant, yet rugged packaging, they can be mounted virtually anywhere and are designed to simplify the urban permitting process and minimize visual impact.

"The rapidly growing market for 4G small cells is pulling a lot of new vendors into the space," said Don Meiners, PureWave's CEO. "While our competitors are dipping their toes into the small-cell space, we are bringing to market a 3rd generation family of products that we feel will set the bar for LTE small cell base stations."

"By all measures customer demand for wireless data is growing much faster than available wireless network capacity," said Monica Paolini, Senza Fili Consulting. "Small cells capable of delivering high throughput and capacity in a dense urban environment give wireless operators the infrastructure resources that they need to align their network performance with what their customers demand. PureWave is a player to watch in the small-cell space."

PureWave Constellation small cells will begin field trials in Q4, 2012, in bands 13 and 14, quickly followed by a wide range of additional frequencies.
