Towerstream to Present at Super Wi-Fi Summit

Towerstream (Nasdaq:TWER), a leading 4G and Small Cell Rooftop Tower Company, today announced that its President and CEO, Jeff Thompson, will present at the Super Wi-Fi Summit scheduled for January 30th -- February 1st, 2013 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida.

Mr. Thompson will participate in a session titled, "Small Cells: Filling the Void with Spectrum Sharing and Priority Use", on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 10:00am-10:45am.

The Super Wi-Fi Summit website describes the session as follows: Small cells are finally taking off, about to replace the macro cells and fill the demand in urban areas for data driven by smart phones.

Spectrum sharing using White Spaces 802.22 methodology may be the technology driver for small cells. Spectrum sharing will require small cells to be designed to swap channels, to use shared spectrum for backhaul. Each small cell can be connected to the network with its own backhaul. Without low cost backhaul, small cells may not be economically effective. Will small cell manufactures look to White Spaces point to multipoint radios to insert bandwidth to the cells?

Additional Panelists include:

Peter Flynn, Product & Program Manager; Texas InstrumentsRaj Singh, GM, Wireless Broadband Group; CaviumABarlow Keener, Principal; Kenner Law Group (Moderator)
