RELM Wireless Receives State Orders Totaling $3.5 Million
RELM Wireless Corporation (NYSE MKT: RWC) today announced orders for state public safety agencies totaling an aggregate of approximately $3.5 million. The orders are for RELM's D-Series and KNG-Series Digital P-25 mobile and portable radios with accessories. Portions of these orders were fulfilled in the first quarter, and it is anticipated that the remainder will be fulfilled during the second quarter.
RELM President and Chief Executive Officer David Storey commented, "These orders cover three different states and include new customers as well as additional business from previous customers. One of our key strategic initiatives is sales growth within the state public safety market. The combination of these orders and the state and county orders previously announced in February 2014 represent an encouraging start toward our goals for this year and beyond."
