Colligo Announces Integration with MobileIron AppConnect and AppTunnel

Colligo, the leader in enterprise SharePoint collaboration, today announces that it is part of the MobileIron AppConnect ecosystem. Colligo Briefcase integrated with MobileIron AppConnect ensures employees can collaborate on SharePoint, Office 365 and OneDrive for Business content from the convenience of their favorite iOS device while IT has the policy controls it needs to secure and manage corporate data.

MobileIron, a leader in security and management for mobile apps, documents, and devices, provides its AppConnect technology to third party mobile app developers. With MobileIron AppConnect apps, companies can provide the third-party application experiences their employees want, with apps that have been enabled with auto-configuration, data containerization, and secure tunneling to protect corporate data.

MobileIron AppConnect containerizes Colligo Briefcase to provide a high level of protection without touching personal data or changing the user experience. Corporate data on Colligo Briefcase is encrypted, protected from unauthorized access, and removable. Because each user has multiple business apps, using Briefcase with AppConnect links it to other secure apps, enabling sharing of policies and data.

MobileIron AppTunnel provides secure tunneling and access control to protect data flowing from SharePoint to Briefcase without requiring a VPN. This increased security is totally invisible to the user and offers the convenience of seamless connectivity anywhere to on-prem SharePoint servers.

"Integrating Colligo Briefcase with the security features of MobileIron enables IT Administrators to confidently deploy a highly secure solution that helps users be productive with SharePoint, Office 365 and OneDrive for Business from anywhere," says Rick Ramsay, Colligo Product Manager of Mobile Solutions. "Simplifying connectivity and security is critical when deploying mobile SharePoint solutions – MobileIron has the know-how to help our customers mitigate the risks associated with a mobile environment."

"Colligo Briefcase is an outstanding addition to the MobileIron AppConnect family,” said Sean Convery, Vice President of Product Management at MobileIron. “Using MobileIron with best-of-breed partners like Colligo, enterprises can securely manage the apps employees demand, without getting in the way of user experience.”
