Copyright Music & Visuals Seeks Developers & Partners to Help Migrate Hockey Night In Canada Theme to Ringtones
Posted by WDN, April 16, 2002
Copyright Music & Visuals are the proud copyright administrators of the "Hockey Night In Canada Theme" (often referred to as 'Canada's Second National Anthem').
John Ciccone, President Copyright Music & Visuals tells WDN he would like to respond to the tremendous demand from cell phone users who want to download
the Ringtone melody of this great song to their wireless devices. Especially on the eve of the NHL playoff season.
Ciccone ads... "We need help and guidance in setting up the technology for people to be able to download the Ringtone file from our website www.hockeytheme.com.
As can be seen on our website, we've published a number of sheet music scores. This has provided us with immediate in-house access to customizable MIDI files. Monophonic, polyphonic, any duration, tempo, etc. Converting them to the various manufacturer's specs and public access/purchase is our challenge.
Our last request was from a "homesick" displaced Canadian in Australia(!), and we're always hearing from folks who've taken the song with them to their jobs at Late Show with David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, etc. We must help these poor people.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated."
If you represent a wireless developer or carrier interested in working with Copyright Music & Visuals to make their collection available to wireless handset users, please contact
WirelessDevnet, or John Ciccone directly.
