Distribution through Nokia Software Market; Open Bit improves the quality of wireless imaging and makes photographing more fun
Posted by WirelessDevNet Dec. 01, 2002
Tampere, Finland - Open Bit Ltd, a Finnish software company, has launched new Photographer software that significantly improves the quality of wireless imaging of mobile phones. In addition, the software offers zoom, panorama and trick functionality to the mobile phone users. The product is targeted to the consumer market and it can be used in the Nokia 7650 as well as in the Nokia 3560, which will be introduced in the near future. The software makes wireless imaging more fun.
"Photographer software removes the so called barrel distortion caused by the camera lens and improves the contrast and colours in the edges of the picture" says Mr. Arto Lehtonen, CEO of Open Bit. Photographer also brings zoom and panorama functions to the mobile phone camera. In addition, the software enables users to take trick pictures using masks. This way a picture can be taken of a face and added for example in a crocodile's mouth. The brightness and colour levels of the picture can also be adjusted.
The product can be bought worldwide from the Nokia Software Market (www.softwaremarket.nokia.com). Open Bit has also made a reselling contract with a Finnish Päämies shop chain.
"We are very happy to be able to offer Photographer as a value-adding service to our customers because it even more diversifies the possibilities of the multimedia communication. Our clientele consists of the active users of the mobile phones and hi-tech so I am sure that our clients will be interested of the new product " says Mr. Seppo Tikka, Managing Director of Päämies.
The price of the Photographer is some 20 euros.
