Posted by WirelessDevNet Feb. 13, 2003

Investors See Proof Of Strategy, Invest Euro 5 million To Further Develop Market

Bordeaux, France, February 13th, 2003 - IN-FUSIO today announced the first usage statistics relating to the growing mobile games market and third round funding, confirming its position as a leading vendor of complete end-to-end mobile games solutions.

IN-FUSIO's downloadable games service key statistics (as at 13/02/03):
  • 1,540,000 registered players (increasing by 17 per cent month on month)
  • 8,000 new players register everyday
  • In January 03, 595,000 active* players recorded over 3.5 million paid interactions and downloads
  • Additional revenue per user (ARPU) is well over EURO 30 per year for each registered player

Gilles Raymond, CEO and founder of IN-FUSIO commented: "Our statistics represent a first reliable indication of the potential for mobile games. Our games service is live and active, significantly contributing to operator ARPU in France, Germany, UK, Italy, Spain and China, confirming that our strategy of being the end-to-end mobile games service provider is paying off.

In an increasingly crowded market, IN-FUSIO's statistics also provide valuable information for games developers who are looking to define a strategy for design, return on investment (ROI) and penetration.

"Equally as important is the message that these statistics give to mobile games developers: IN-FUSIO has an un-paralleled understanding of the mobile games market and because of its revenue share model represents the best catch-all choice for mobile games development," added Raymond.

IN-FUSIO also announced the introduction of a new shareholder in €5 million third round funding in December 2002. Investors were: Innoven €3.3 million (lead investor) and €1.7 million from existing investors, (Partech International, Viventure 2 and Banexi Ventures). The investment will be used for further deployment of its mobile games service and to consolidate IN-FUSIO's market leading position in both Europe and China as it moves to break-even.

"Our third round funding will help further establish IN-FUSIO as the N°1 in Europe in mobile games services and is further confirmation that our strategy has been successful, is on course and according to plan," finished Raymond.

IN-FUSIO offers an integrated end-to-end mobile games platform, which provides a proven business model, leading-edge solutions that are compatible with Java(tm)-based offerings and access to an ever growing catalogue of ground breaking mobile games. For developers of mobile games, IN-FUSIO's experience and involvement with MIDP 2.0 games standards means that they are assured of mobile game compatibility and have access to tens of millions of potential paying mobile gamers across the world.
