OpenPath Products announces the SMS Testing Suite
Posted by WDN, Feb. 21, 2002
ANNAPOLIS, MD February 21, 2002 -- OpenPath Products announced today the availability of the SMS Testing Suite.
The SMS Testing Suite is a full-featured collection of tools that support the SMS application developer, tester, or carrier. It makes light work of preparing Short Message Service (SMS) applications for real world environments.
The suite features three tools that are useful during the SMS development and testing process:
- SMPP Handset Simulator, which acts like an SMSC and is able to visually receive and send individual SMS messages.
- Wireless Load Tester, which is able to stress test wireless application servers by receiving and sending bulk quantities of SMPP, SMTP, and HTTP messages.
- SMPP->SMTP Forwarder, which supports testing and demonstrations by allowing an SMPP-enabled application to deliver messages into live networks that do not provide SMPP interfaces.
“The SMS Testing Suite allows users to test one and two way SMS applications under real world traffic conditions without the expense and risk of using SMSCs” said Richard Smith, Chief Technologist of OpenPath Products.
Benefits include:
Reduced lab time expenses
Rapidly test applications according to your schedule
Simulate real world environments and traffic
Reasonable price points
