Bell Mobility takes dispatching to the next level with Nextair's wireless
dispatch applications
Posted by WDN, Feb. 26, 2002
Nextair's mdispatch.com and DispatchForce products to be available to Bell Mobility
corporate customers
Toronto, Ontario, February 19, 2002 -- Nextair Inc. (TSE: NXA) and Bell Mobility announced today that they have partnered to deliver dispatch
applications over the wireless Internet. Bell Mobility will be offering access to Nextair's Internet-based
mdispatch.com™ and DispatchForce™ as their preferred wireless dispatch products in early 2002.
mdispatch.com is an award winning dispatch solution with built-in options to meet the needs of a variety of
industries including courier, field service, transportation and healthcare. Using mdispatch.com, dispatchers can
assign new tasks from their PC while their staff can respond to these tasks in the field, in real-time using their
wireless device. Mobile workers can change the status of work orders, request service history, enter parts used
and add work-performed details using any wireless device. The dispatcher's screen is updated immediately,
keeping them fully apprised of all work in the field. As an Internet-based solution, companies pay a monthly
subscription and can immediately implement this dispatch solution without any integration requirements or the
cost of traditional IT support.
DispatchForce is a wireless dispatch and scheduling solution designed for large businesses, which can be
customized to deliver increased functionality and meet specific corporate requirements. DispatchForce will be
available through Bell Mobility's Enterprise sales team.
"By partnering with Nextair to offer these wireless dispatch services, Bell Mobility will continue to deliver wireless
solutions that meet the needs of the mobile worker," says Kelly Dixon, General Manager, Wireless Internet and
Data, Bell Mobility, "Nextair's wireless dispatch products are innovative solutions that function on a variety of
devices over the Bell Mobility network, which will equip our small and medium sized business customers with
real-time wireless dispatch tools that will benefit their bottom line.
"Nextair welcomes this new relationship with Bell Mobility and we are excited to work together to deliver new
customer solutions," says Simon Fraser, President and CEO, Nextair. "With the advanced capabilities that Bell
Mobility's networks bring to the marketplace, Nextair's customers will enjoy a reliable wireless business solution.
This new relationship further validates Nextair's newest wireless applications in the marketplace and brings
added depth to our channel strategy."
