The SMS Testing Suite is a suite of tools for testing Short Message Service (SMS) applications. Version 2 of the SMS Testing Suite has twice as much functionality as the initial version and provides significant value to developers, testers and wireless carriers.
New features of the SMS Testing Suite include:
- 'BAD SMSC' Simulator which tests your SMS application against simulated common real world messaging conditions you hope never happen, but often do. The tool can be configured to define various degrees of undesired events against which to test.
- Web-based SMSC Simulator that is firewall-friendly and can be used to send and receive short messages with real SMS devices. This tool can also be used to provide demonstrations of your SMS applications to potential clients without requiring them to have a SMS device.
- Rotating file logging within a new command-line SMSC simulator allows you to see the communications between the tested SMS application and the simulated SMSC. This allows the developer to refine the SMS application prior to using valuable lab time or launching the application.
Additionally, there is enhanced functionality in existing tools such as support for more SMPP values, enhanced logging and a greater degree of configuration.
