VoiceGenie and Clickmarks Partner to Deliver Mobile VoiceXML Solutions Worldwide -- Joint Solution Gives Users
Access to Enterprise and Other Information Through Multiple Channels - Including Voice
Posted by WDN, November 13, 2001
VoiceGenie Technologies Inc., the leading provider of VoiceXML Gateway solutions, and Clickmarks, a provider of
software infrastructure and products for wireless carriers and enterprises, announce a strategic partnership to extend users' multi-channel access to information to include the
voice-activated channel based on VoiceXML.
The VoiceGenie - Clickmarks joint VoiceXML solution provides customers with powerful integrated information access running on the award-winning VoiceGenie VoiceXML
Gateway. Clickmarks' Enterprise Habitat(TM), for enterprises, and Mobile Habitat(TM), for wireless carriers, allows mobile users to access information through a voice-activated
user interface, previously available only via their WAP phones and PDAs. Running on the VoiceGenie VoiceXML Gateway, these applications provide users with access to a data
warehouse or email application (or any other contact point), by simply speaking into any phone. Clickmarks and VoiceGenie mobile information solutions can include key
information access from enterprise applications, production systems, databases and data warehouses, email and Web pages, and any content a carrier or user desires.
"VoiceGenie is pleased to announce this strategic partnership with Clickmarks," said Eric Jackson, VoiceGenie's Vice President of Strategy and Business Development.
"Together, we provide compelling information access and interaction solutions based entirely on VoiceXML, answering the call from a rapidly growing market of enterprises and
carriers that are ready to deploy voice-driven solutions."
"VoiceGenie's fully-open VoiceXML Gateway and VoiceXML compliance leadership is consistent with our standards-based and vendor agnostic strategy. Partnering with
VoiceGenie to provide comprehensive Voice Web solutions raises the bar in the Voice Web market," said Susan Rock, VP Strategic Alliances and Business Development of
Clickmarks.
VoiceGenie's carrier-grade VoiceXML Gateway is a robust, extensible and scalable Voice Web platform that adapts to the evolving and growing needs of its customers.
Engineered for large-scale deployment, the VoiceXML Gateway allows carriers and enterprises to significantly reduce lifecycle costs and simplify deployment of voice-driven
applications and services. Customers may choose best in class speech recognition, and are assured open, 100% VoiceXML compliant solutions. The newest version of
VoiceXML Gateway, Version 5.0, offers complete support for the new VoiceXML 2.0 specification.
