EXPO COMM Canada Communications 2002 and Team Canada Inc.
Host International Business Centre at Annual Canadian Conference

The Canadian Wireless Telecommunications Association (CWTA) and EXPO COMM Events LLC, a joint venture between Krause International and Reed Exhibitions, are pleased to announce that EXPO COMM Canada Communications 2002, taking place November 5 and 6, 2002, and Team Canada Inc will be hosting the International Business Centre in Hall F at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to provide delegates with opportunities to leverage global market opportunities.
The Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade of Industry Canada's Ontario regional office, under the umbrella of Team Canada Inc, have established an International Business Centre during EXPO COMM Canada Communications 2002 to provide participants with the assistance they will require to market their products and services outside of Canada.
Delegates can register onsite for events including:
Export Café - where they can participate in round table discussions with Canadian Trade Commissioners from across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East and the Americas to learn about specific market opportunities, current trends and issues in their territories.
Market Seminars - which will address market opportunities in specific territories and approaches to assist with market development strategy.
Export Financing Seminar - discussing the various types of services offered by the government to assist in expanding markets.
Delegates will also have the opportunity to meet Canadian Trade Officers from Canadian Embassies and Consulates around the world.
"The alliance between the CWTA and EXPO COMM Events was created to help expand the conference program, as well as to further garner international recognition for Canada's growing telecommunications and IT industry," said Peter Barnes, President and CEO of the CWTA. "We are pleased to also be working with Industry Canada to provide our delegates with the chance to learn about foreign market opportunities, the services that Team Canada provides to exporters, and international financing."
With the theme "Telecom Innovation: Path to Prosperity," the EXPO COMM Canada Communications 2002 conference will feature tutorial sessions and seminars that focus on innovations in applications, business management and technologies. Sessions will highlight business trends of deregulation and competitive market entry; new Internet strategies; actual case studies of advanced networking implementation; network architecture for enterprise-wide applications; technology trends and implications of next generation networking; and wireline and wireless infrastructure innovations from fibre to 3G. In addition to the conference the exhibition will showcase the latest products and services from more than 120 Canadian and international exhibitors on the trade show floor.
