Symbol Announces PDT 8000 Rugged Handheld Device

The PDT 8000 is the latest addition to Symbol Technologies' line of Pocket PC mobile computing devices. This handheld computer integrates
wireless communications and bar code data capture in a compact, ergonomic, rugged device. Created to meet the needs of mobile workers, the PDT
8000 is rugged enough for use anywhere along the supply chain, and provides the speed, power and functionality needed to effectively manage data
at the point of activity.
Equipped with
color displays, the PDT 8000, PDT 8100 and PPT 2800 device lines run the Pocket PC
2002 operating system and, using a variety of wireless wide and local area network
communications, provide anywhere-anytime information.
It is shock tested and built to survive multiple 5 ft./1.5 m drops to concrete, and sealed against dust and moisture to industry standard IP54.
