If there is no WAP 1.2 phones available now in the market, how do we
implement PUSH using WAP 1.1 & PUSH Proxy Gateway together or WAP 1.2
Gateway alone.
Do we need some element activated on the Phone so that it makes the phone to
be eligible to receive the PUSH messages.... I am quite confused here as if
we can do a PUSH using a PUSH Proxy Gateway with a WAP 1.1 Gateway, how does
the phone handle the PUSH?
Also if this works fine, When WAP 1.2 PUSH is used, can a WAP 1.1 compatible
phones receives the PUSH Message from the 1.2 Gateway? Any Compatibility
issues here..........
Also i believe this WAP PUSH has a capability of calling for a new session
between target client, if there is no session existing? so that even the
client is not in wap mode the Gateway can initiate and make an active
session in between.................
