Seems like authentication could be handled by using certificates/PKI such as
the infrastructure announced by Certicom (announced today actually!). As
far as "whitepage" lookup, seems like what is required is some sort of open
directory. Unfortunately, I think the industry's just at the tool-building
stage...not at the complete infrastructure stage.
