Subject: MobileLBSList: RE: GISJOBSList: RE: MobileLBSList: resume interest

Hey Brian,
It appears to me Anthony posted a message on the list about interest in
resumes. The GISJobsList...that sounds to me like a pretty logical thing to
do.

I'm thinkin you need to lighten up just a bit.

If you have a problem with return receipts simply configure your email
client so that it doesn't respond to them. And if you have a problem with
Anthony, take it up with Anthony, not the entire list.

Just my 2 cents...

Have a nice day guys...

alex

I think my concern was quite clear. But since you couldn't seem to see
what I wrote through your anger, I'll say it again:

"I think people should quit sending out emails like this with return
receipt requests. It is an invasion of privacy for people to post these
to a public list of professionals with the intent to collect names and
addresses of the recipients."

You condescend about my internet experience, yet you don't seem to have
the experience to know that this kind of activity has been frowned on in
public lists since spam was invented. You could be the Pope or the Dali
Lama and I would still take offense at this. Don't start making things
personal.

If you use return receipt requests daily, you know you use them daily.
It's not something that you casually forget about. "Guns don't kill
people, people kill people." Take a little responsibility for your
actions, before and after the fact.

For purposes of this post and because you make such a point of it, I'll
assume you are a nice guy that is just overreacting. But being smug
doesn't quite make for an apology, which would have been the simple
response for such a gaffe. It gets harder to assume you are a nice guy
the way you twisted my words around. Careful about misquoting people in
the future.

This is the last bit I need to say about this on list, please feel free
to contact me directly if anyone needs further clarification of this.

Brian
