We need someone immediately for the position described below. The pay is $35-55 an hour depending on experience. We can't do work visas so all applicants should be able to work legally in the US. GIS Developer Position
GIS application developer will be required to develop data maintenance, plotting, analysis, query and display tools that can be used in the support of functions (e.g. routing). This position will provide personnel with the ability to query, display and analyze corporate data spatially, while hiding the complexity inherent in most GIS systems.
Essential Functions:
1) Implement project design according to GIS Technical Architect's instructions. 2) Assist developers from other departments in integrating GIS applications. 3) Work with documentation and training groups in preparation for deployment.
Minimum Requirements:
1) 5 - 7 years experience with ESRI GIS products. Specifically ArcGIS (ArcInfo) and ArcSDE. 2) 3 - 5 years experience in GIS development using ESRI tools. Specifically AML and ArcObjects. 3) Proven ability to work with medium to large project teams 4) Proven experience with ESRI GIS development tools. 5) Proven experience with ESRI GIS Web development environment and tools. 6) 1 year Oracle SQL experience. 7) Ability to provide leadership to project team 8) Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Characteristics:
1) Experience in medium to large application development initiatives/projects 2) 1 year Oracle PL/SQL programming experience. 3) Proven ability to work with medium project team 4) 3 - 5 years using UNIX operating systems. 5) 3 - 5 years shell scripting experience. 6) 2 - 3 years Java or JavaScript programming experience. 7) 1 - 2 years ArcSDE C API programming experience. 8) 2 - 3 years C programming experience. 9) 1 year experience with CVS or JCVS. 10) Sun Certified Developer for Java.
