Subject: Wireless Dev: Bluetooth apps
Date:  06/15/2000 02:55:34 PM
From:  Bryan Morgan

I'm interested to know if anyone has any experience working with Bluetooth
at the applications level. I continually see tons of announcements laying
out the framework for the hardware but I haven't seen anything really
whiz-bang on the software side other than the Motorola Piano project
(Jini/Bluetooth combo). As opposed to the monolithic
multiple-clients-talking-to-single-server apps that are so prevalent today,
Bluetooth "could" spawn a host of multiple-clients-to-multiple-clients apps
where basically everyone's device is wide open to talk to everyone else.
Are we ready for that?!?
