Hi there,
Sorry guys but that is funny. Just yesterday I have been at a BCG company presentation at the Vienna Technical University. They have shown their m-commerce presentation you are talking about.
I would not believe those numbers nor the forecasts. As long as the = terminal manufacturers come up with fully functioning mobiles on time (that = means at least when the network or service is commercially launched) there will definitely be services for the everyday users. And they will use it. Do not forget the marketing power - people are not the barrier anyway.
The study itself was based on how many? - 1633 people (current and = future m-commerce users) in 6 countries?? That makes not even 300 people in each of this huge countries. What do = you think, is this a representative number?
In the meantime everybody who read articles, followed standards and = went to some exhibitions and conferences on that topic can tell more about m-commerce (based on UMTS or not) than this report. What I want to say = is that there are no new ideas, visions or facts to be found. (except = those I do not believe in :-)
