Subject: RE: MobileLBSList: mCommerce Report
Date:  11/28/2000 02:09:48 PM
From:  Katharine Lewis

Hi Andreas,
That's true. I'm very interested by some of the billing methods people =
are
dreaming up. One in particular is for small incremental payments - you =
pay
up front for a number of "credits" on the desktop website, which you =
then
use up incrementally while purchasing items (such as pay-for-view =
content)
on the phone. The only necessity is to have secure access via user =
id/pin to
the wireless site. Do you have similar experiences?

Hi Katharine,
There you got a point.
I personally did some purchasing o the web via credit card, but I am
probably not the typical mobile phone user either. Europeans are =
generally
more cautious when it comes to financial matters but GSM has been =
invented
and is still leading in Europe. Europes mobile operators are "trusted"
parties like a bank and not just a mobile Internet access.=20
It is also not necessary to type in your credit card details when =
purchasing
via phone. Billing can be done in several ways and there are many =
possible
m-commerce solutions underway.

Ciao, Andreas
