Slamming the competition in an ad is one thing but offering developers free
food and drinks - well, that's outright war!!

Nice idea - and I'd probably attend for the free dinner - but I can't
imagine flying back from Santa Clara and telling my boss that we're
switching platforms because of the excellent crab rolls I had the night
before...
