At Xmarc, we have a software infrastructure suite called the WIISE platform.
Part of this platform is the support for secure locations generated by LDT
agents for tracking applications such as yours. The WIISE architecture is
both elegant and open, utilizing Oracle 8i spatial and a Java API. The open
database schema and API allow you to create applications in which the
location element interacts with your other corporate data, providing
location context to all requests by that application. The WIISE platform
performs other location services such as geo-locating, routing and point of
interest proximity searches.
