Subject: Wireless Dev: Need Suggestion:
Date:  07/14/2000 05:26:34 AM
From:  Selvi

I need some info related to the following topic.

I beleive some one else in the forum, alreday have done this and could
be of help for me.

I am having my Nokia Gateway (Trial version) installed in my PC which is
assigned to a public IP.
Now i really don't have any idea as how to connect the Gateway with the
Wireless network so that i can do an end to end testing using a real
phone.

I have read in the documents that there are 2 ways:
1) Using the SMSC option:
For this we need to get a userid & password for Nokia
SMSC from the operator here
and i found it's impossible for them to realese those
outside their domain.
2) use the GSM-CSD
For this we need a dial up server.

Do you have any idea about this? Which is easier way if we don't
have either of them.

Usually how are people doing if they happend to have their own
Gateway?

Thanks so much in advance.
Selvi.
