Subject: Wireless Dev: Virgin Brings UK 'Walled Garden' Tumbling Down
Date:  07/25/2000 09:48:38 AM
From:  Bryan Morgan

If you don't want to get an account at The451.com, basically the article
says that Virgin's new mobile service will allow users to add their own
bookmarks. The Virgin spokesman (where do they get these guys?!?) said the
consumer will have to know the URL of the site they're going to but at least
a mobile operator is opening up a little bit.

Of course, the next round of complaints will center around Virgin's users
building huge lists of bookmarks with no way to categorize or sort them.
How difficult would it be for Phone.com to add this little feature?

Bryan
